Groundbreaking
On July 14, 2006, ground was broken for Faith's Lodge. Close to 70 people climbed the hill to
groundbreaking site to attend the ceremony on that hot and dusty day, including Faith's Lodge founders, Mark and Susan Lacek,
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Executive Director, Meg Katzman, Faith's Lodge and RMHC Board Members and a variety of
local dignitaries and contractors, people from the faith community, neighbors and community members. The highlight of
the ceremony was the release of two dozen monarch butterflies, the international symbol for a beloved deceased child.
