Testimonials

Many bereaved families have contacted us to share their thoughts about Faith's Lodge and its potential to help others. Following are a few excerpts from some of the many e-mails we have received.

“Gavin lived only for 3 short days, but I cherished every moment of those 3 days. I think if Faith’s Lodge would have been around when we did not know what to do, or how to deal with things, it may have helped us get away and back to each other.

I was very touched by your story, and I think what you are doing is wonderful. It truly sounds like it will be a wonderful place for newly bereaved and families dealing with a sick child to go and relax. Keep up your efforts and I will make sure to pass the word around about this lodge. I know it always helps to be able to talk to someone who knows what you are going through and feeling. People try to understand, but if they have never been there, they have no idea what it is like.

Thank you for letting me share my story and wish you the best of luck with Faith’s Lodge. I’m sure all will be grateful for it.”
- Jenny and Michael, Parents of Gavin

“I just visited your web site thus feeling compelled to write to let you know how wonderful you and your family are to create such a beautiful place for grieving families. I truly admire you on your decision to assist those who are in the midst of the storm. May your precious daughter live on with brightness and tenderness in the peaceful retreat you have created for others.”
- Jeanne, Mother of Ginny Ann

“I read with great interest in your lodge as I have lost three pregnancies and have three children. I am very interested in supporting something like this as I believe if my husband and myself would have had more opportunities for support and get-aways while raising a special needs child and losing pregnancies, along with other stresses, we might have been able to keep our family intact. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your precious sweetheart and know that people are thinking of you in a special way as you go forward in her memory.”

“Bless you......even though it has been 42 years since the death of our infant son, I was touched by the story about what you are doing in this week's Leader. Especially since the ground breaking took place on July 14th ....the anniversary of our son's death. A parent always remembers.....”
- Ann and Phil, Parents of David Richard
