Our Response to COVID-19

Critical Relief Fund

The whole world is processing what grieving parents already knew: Everything can change in an instant.

We’ve created a Critical Relief Fund as an emergency response to the immense need cause by COVID-19.

We are heartbroken for every parent facing the devastation of child loss who is now grieving in isolation. Faith’s Lodge is now open for parent programming! While we know not everyone is ready to come to Faith’s Lodge during these circumstances, we are still committed to developing new ways to support grieving families during this time.

We need your help to continue our work. Your gift today keeps our families engaged and hopeful during their extended wait period and keep us financially stable, so we are ready to respond to our families when the health crisis ends.

Thank you for your support – now and always.

Programming Impact

Parent programming at Faith’s Lodge has resumed as of May 28th!

To ensure the safety of all of our guests, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Faith’s Lodge FAMILY programming through July 31 and cancel all 2020 Medically Complex programming. If you are a guest scheduled to come for a future programming date and wish to inquire about programming or would like to reschedule your stay, email us at info@faithslodge.org and a staff member will be in touch to discuss your situation.

Here are the ways we will ensure a clean and safe environment for guests, staff and providers at Faith’s Lodge:

– Faith’s Lodge is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before/after each weekend by a professional cleaning company

– Ensuring all lodge staff are “ServeSafe” certified and adhere to the high standards set forth by the state for safe food handling, service and storage

– Added hand washing stations in new kitchen/dining space

– More frequent disinfecting of high traffic areas, shared spaces and public restrooms

– All staff will wear masks.

– All guests will be asked to wear masks. Masks can be removed in common spaces if all guests are in agreeance.

– Guests will be screened via phone prior to their arrival with a series of health questions.

– Guests will have their temperature taken upon arrival.

Ways to Support Faith's Lodge

It is clear we are in uncharted waters as our community fights against COVID-19. Faith’s Lodge is making difficult decisions that impact our families – decisions that could impact the lives of hundreds of parents and children this year.

Due to important orders from state and local government, we are having to cancel weekends and reschedule guests for programming weekends later this year which reduces our overall capacity. Additionally, we are anticipating an increased scholarship request and acceptance rate to continue to offer our services to everyone in need regardless of their economic situation. And with fundraising events postponed or cancelled, we are now facing a revenue challenge that has never been experienced at our organization.

The experience of a weekend at Faith’s Lodge brings hope to a family grieving the loss of a child and gives a child the strength to fight a life-limiting or life-threatening illness. Our priority remains providing hope and connection for parents and families facing the unimaginable that have been devastated by the news that they must wait even longer to come to Faith’s Lodge.

So, today we turn to you for help. Your support will ensure we can keep our families engaged and hopeful during their extended wait period. You can also help our organization remain financially stable, so we are ready to respond to our families when the health crisis is behind us.
